Week 1 Ancient Manuscripts

After viewing the ancient works of the Ethiopic Bible, I noticed that the manuscripts were very symmetrical. At first they appeared to be written in two columns on each page and the columns were fully justified. After further review, the words fit into a border on each page; some like the laws being placed in two columns and others like Eusebius' Letter to Carpianus being one column as letters are written even today. Many of the borders replicated the roman column architecture. The words are all written in red or black on a white background. All graphics were consistently in red, blue, brown, green, yellow/gold, and the people were actually a pale flesh tone. The graphics appeared to be literal. For example, in the book of Genesis the picture depicting Moses and the 10 commandments shows a picture of Abraham, on the ground, receiving the tablet from a hand in the sky which one can determine is God above.
